Araku Valley


Araku is a famouse hill station of AP.It is located at a distance of 115 km from Visakhapatnam,close to the Odisha border.Araku is an experience to be felt in the blood and felt along the heart. A shangri-La surrounded by turquoise blue hills and mantled in golden yellow by valise flowers it lures the visitors with its sights and silence.

Araku is popular for its famous coffee plantations. India’s first tribal growers’ organic coffee brand was launched in the Araku Valley in 2007. The premium organic “Araku Emerald” brand of coffee sells globally. Thousands of tribals in the Agency area are engaged in coffee cultivation as farm hands or small farmers.

Araku valley is 115km away from Visakhapatnam.The best travel choice is Kirndool passenger train starting from 7.05 am from Visakhapatnam ,which reaches the valley in four and a half hours,The return train from Araku is starts from 3pm .The tourist department of Andra Pradesh plies buses in a gap of half an hour until 7pm from Visakhapatnam to Araku and viceversa.
